About The UNITY Center

Founded in 1990 by Rev. Victoria Etchemendy, The UNITY Center is a member of the Association of Unity Churches, an international organization based in Lees Summit, Missouri.

Mission

The UNITY Center is a “ministry beyond walls,” where people of all ages, backgrounds and beliefs celebrate the one common spiritual thread that lives in every heart.

Co-Creation Statement

As The UNITY Center, we are a spiritual community living our passion and purpose, individually and collectively co-creating our lives with Spirit. We are a dynamic spiritual center, boldly and powerfully radiating light, love, and universal healing to enrich our world.

We believe in one God, many paths.

We comprise and represent all generations, races, nations, and sacred practices. We arrive through many doors; we come together under one roof to celebrate in joy, to worship in prayer and meditation, to share life-long learning, and to serve.

UNITY’S Statement for Peace

Unity stands for peace in the presence of conflict; for love in the presence of hatred; for forgiveness in the presence of injury. Unity honors the many names for God; the many paths to God; the many ways to worship God; for there is only one power and presence of God and that God loves each one of us equally. It is therefore the position of The International Association of Unity Churches and Unity to urge all nations, their leaders, and their people to turn to God by whatever the name for guidance during these challenging times and pursue peace, not war, for this is what honors the God of all our faith traditions.
