Dear Friends,
One of my favorite inspirational stories occurred on the coast of South America. It's an old teaching tale that has merit even in our fast-paced technological world.
There was a large ship full of sailors that, when the wind stopped, became stuck in the Atlantic Ocean. The crew had used up all of their supplies and the men were very afraid they would run out of water. A small local sailing boat was spotted and they hailed it down. The large vessel sent the message, “Could you spare some water?” The reply came back, “Let your buckets down. You are at the mouth of the Amazon. You are in the midst of everything you need.”
We are like those sailors who had everything they desired and more. UWHC is standing in the midst of abundance. What this ministry has accomplished in the last year is truly remarkable, and Spirit-led. Every door has opened for us as we have stepped forward in realizing the dream of our own property and spiritual center. We are attracting new people and our youth leadership team and chaplain programs have doubled. We are expanding in many other areas of service and our community is connecting at deeper levels.
There is a new energy on Sundays that is fresh and alive. Our capital campaign has given us the opportunity to use our faith principles in a very practical endeavor.
With great gratitude we say “thank you” to all of you who continue to hold the energy, vision, and prosperity of UWHC in your thoughts and prayers. We are a mighty magnet that radiates out into the world harmony and light. We are a place of peace.
“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing
and right-doing, there is a field. I will
meet you there.”
