Dear Friends:
The statement “Walk by faith, not by sight” from 2nd Corinthians is as true today as it was when it was written thousands of years ago. Most of us would agree that our faith has gotten us through difficult times. However, there is usually an area of our lives where we are holding on to our idea of the “Right Answer,” the way we think it “should” be. Perhaps it’s in the area of our finances, our career, our health or our loved ones that we struggle with surrendering to our Divine Wisdom.
I was reminded this week that the Unity Movement turns 120 years old in April. The co-founders of Unity, Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, frequently faced what appeared to be failure and financial ruin and yet they held firm to their faith, as evidenced by this anniversary in April. Our own Unity Center turns 20 years old this week and we, too, have been guided by our faith at every turn.
As the Daily Word reminds us, “Through faith we are fearless and free. Faith dispels fear, for faith knows the nothingness of fear. Faith reminds us that God is the only presence and power in our lives.”
I support you this week in drawing on your own inner Divine Wisdom and identifying the areas in your life where you are holding on to “shoulds” or a “Right Answer.” Join me in affirming, “I walk by faith, not by sight.”
Many blessings,
Victoria
